  Viewing Problems

Streaming Quality

Currently 100k is the highest quality stream available. We are however planning to offer higher quality streams in the near future.

Picture Quality

Picture is static, distorted, discolored, or erratic may result from Internet congestion, either because your computer is slow, your modem is slow, you live where there is lots of telephone line interference (out in the country, etc.), your Internet Service Provider (ISP, such as AOL, etc.) is slow or bogged down, the Internet is congested throughout, or 3ABN's site is congested (such as on weekends and during very popular events). Possible solutions:

(1) Upgrade your computer/modem/ISP if necessary.
(2) Try again later

If you are unable to view the streaming video program in the player window, "Click here to view full screen" link on the player page. This will take you to a selection menu that will allow you to view the files with the player program.

Note: If you are using VLC player first you must copy this link (http://endavo.total-stream.net/Endavo3abn). Next go to File>OpenFile> and paste the link you copied into the "Media Resource Locator (MRL)" box and click "OK" to view the programs.

Video stop and starts or buffers?

Most streaming media players buffer a small part of a streaming file before the program starts to play. Buffering can occur during the program when your available bandwidth does not match the streaming files required bandwidth. If this continues to happen you will need to select a slower connection speed.

Note: Even though you may have a high speed connection (i.e. DSL) buffering still can occur during peak times when a lot of users are connected at the same time.

  Windows MediaPlayer Questions

You must have installed Windows Media Player version 9 or latter. If you have an older version of the software, you will need to install a newer version. 3ABN does not sell or distribute Windows Media Player; however, the software can be downloaded for free from Microsoft's site.

Note: If you do not have Windows Media Player you can view the programs by downloading MPlayer or VLC player.

Macintosh users can also install Flip4Mac to view the programs.

What can I do If the video sometimes displays upside down and is colored green or orange. This is a known bug with Windows Media Player. To solve this problem, you'll need to download the patch that corrects the problem.

How do I record (burn) these media files to a CD?

This process may require the use of a 3rd party software in order to enable you to do this. You may record 3ABN-produced programs for your own personal use and free distribution.

Note: (Some programs that air on 3ABN are produced by other organizations, and recording those programs is subject to the respective producers' own policies.)

First, you must have a computer with a CD-R (or CD-RW) drive. Not all CD drives can record CDs; it must have "R" (recordable) or "RW" (re-writeable) capability.

Second, you must have the software or drivers needed to record (burn) CDs. Usually if your computer can write CDs, you have the necessary software installed already. Check your computer manual for help on how to do this.

Note: Although these files can be recorded to CD, a normal CD player will not necessarily be able to play the files. Please see your software's documentation for the steps to create a standard audio CD that can be played in any CD player; this may involve converting the files to another format (however, many CD-burning software programs can do the conversion easily and automatically).
