Ziti with Creamy Alfredo Sauce


  • 1 c. raw cashews, rinsed
  • 1/2 Tbsp. salt, optional
  • 1 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 4 c. water
  • 3 Tbsp. arrowroot powder
  • 1 Tbsp. McKay’s chicken style
  • 1 to 1+1/2 c. prepared Parmesan style
  • prepared ziti pasta
  • fresh basil for garnish


  1. Blend cashews with a little of the water until very smooth and creamy.
  2. Blend in remaining ingredients except Parmesan, and pour into saucepan.
  3. Cook, stirring frequently, until thickened.
  4. Add Parmesan, stir and spoon over pasta.
