- 1 c. raw cashews, rinsed
- 1/2 Tbsp. salt, optional
- 1 Tbsp. onion powder
- 4 c. water
- 3 Tbsp. arrowroot powder
- 1 Tbsp. McKay’s chicken style
- 1 to 1+1/2 c. prepared Parmesan style
- prepared ziti pasta
- fresh basil for garnish
- Blend cashews with a little of the water until very smooth and creamy.
- Blend in remaining ingredients except Parmesan, and pour into saucepan.
- Cook, stirring frequently, until thickened.
- Add Parmesan, stir and spoon over pasta.
