Sesame Tofu


  • 4 c. diced tofu, baked*
  • 1 c. sweet & sour sauce
  • 2 c. steamed broccoli


  • 1/4 c. Bragg’s liquid aminos
  • 2 Tbsp. cane juice crystals
  • 1/4 tsp. ginger
  • 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. ketchup
  • 2 tsp. creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
  • 1 tsp. toasted sesame seeds
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. cold water


  1. In a medium saucepan, combine all the sweet and sour sauce ingredients except the 1 tablespoon water and cornstarch. Bring to a boil, mix cornstarch and water and stir in. Cook until thick.
  2. Place the prepared tofu on a platter. Pour sweet and sour sauce over the top and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Arrange the steamed broccoli around the tofu. Serve with brown rice.

* To prepare tofu, marinate for 30 minutes in 1 cup water mixed with about 1/4 c. Bragg’s aminos. Drain and bake in a 350 degrees F oven on an oil-sprayed baking sheet for 20 – 25 minutes.
