- 1 c. walnuts
- 2 large onions
- 3 stalks celery
- 4 cloves garlic
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3 c. coarse bulgar wheat
- 4 c. water
- Place walnuts, onions, celery, garlic and salt in blender with some of the water and blend until smooth.
- Add remaining water. Pour into medium saucepan and stir in bulgar wheat.
- Bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, for about 15 minutes or until thickened.
- Spread on baking sheet and dry in warm oven until crumbly. Refrigerate for up to 10 days. Use in recipes that call for burger.
