• 1 c. walnuts
  • 2 large onions
  • 3 stalks celery
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. coarse bulgar wheat
  • 4 c. water


  1. Place walnuts, onions, celery, garlic and salt in blender with some of the water and blend until smooth.
  2. Add remaining water. Pour into medium saucepan and stir in bulgar wheat.
  3. Bring to a boil and simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently, for about 15 minutes or until thickened.
  4. Spread on baking sheet and dry in warm oven until crumbly. Refrigerate for up to 10 days. Use in recipes that call for burger.
