Marsala Sauce


  • 2 c. mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 c. shallots
  • 1 tsp. crushed garlic
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp. vegan beef base
  • 1 c. grape juice
  • 1/4 tsp. seas salt
  • pinch of sage
  • pinch of thyme
  • cornstarch and water slurry


  1. Sauté mushrooms in olive oil, adding garlic and shallots.
  2. Add grape juice, salt, and seasonings.
  3. Add cornstarch slurry as needed, and cook, stirring until thickened.
