Lentil Black Bean Burger


  • 3 c. pre-cooked black beans
  • 6 oz. tomato paste
  • 2 Tbsp. paprika
  • ½ medium red onion
  • 1 c. bread crumbs
  • 4 Tbsp. fresh parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 Tbsp. cumin
  • 5 c. pre-cooked lentils
  • Salt to taste


  1. Mash the pre-cooked lentils and black beans. Mix together.
  2. Add the salt, breadcrumbs, cornstarch, parsley, cumin, paprika to the mixture.
  3. Finely chop/dice the onions. Add to the mixture. Mix thoroughly.
  4. Form the mixture into patties and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees, turning halfway through baking time.

Yield 12 patties
