Homemade Tuno


  • 1 c. chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 2 Tbsp. matchstick carrots
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 tsp. freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. soy mayonnaise
  • 1/4 c. chopped red peppers


  1. In a food processor, combine chickpeas, carrots, red peppers and celery. Process until coarsley chopped.
  2. Place in a medium bowl and mix in onion powder, salt, lemon juice, cilantro and soy mayonnaise. Mix well. Serve with pita chips.
