Homemade Microwave Popcorn


  • 1 brown paper lunch bag
  • 1/4 c. popcorn kernels
  • popcorn seasoning

Seasoning #1:

  • 1 c. nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1/4 c. salt

Seasoning #2 “Chili Cheese”:

  • 1/4 c. chili powder
  • 1/4 c. yeast flakes
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 1 Tbsp. ground cumin
  • 1 Tbsp. onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 – 1 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper, opt.


  1. Spread popcorn kernels on bottom of paper bag. Fold top down a couple of small turns.
  2. Microwave for about 1 1/2 minutes, being careful not to burn.
  3. For seasonings, place all ingredients into a coffee bean grinder or blender. Blend until fine.
  4. Sprinkle desired amount over popcorn.
