Ginger Beer


  • 1 lb. fresh ginger
  • 8 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 1/2 quarts water


  1. Peel and grate the ginger. Add water and let stand overnight.
  2. Stir in sugar until well dissolved.
  3. Strain and chill or serve with crushed ice.
