Garbanzo and Onion Patty


  • 1 c. soaked garbanzo beans
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. unbleached white flour
  • 1 Tbsp. wheat germ
  • 3/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp. nutritional yeast flakes
  • 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 onion, finely chopped or sliced


  1. In blender, combine soaked garbanzos and water and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Batter should be thick.
  3. Drop by tablespoons into hot skillet and fry in a little oil until golden on both sides.
