Beef Barley Stew


  • 4 c. hot water
  • 2 c. soy curls
  • 8 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. McKay’s beef style seasoning
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. Bragg’s liquid aminos
  • 2 Tbsp Better Than Bouillon Vegetable Base
  • 2 c. cabbage, shredded or chopped
  • 1 c. carrots, sliced
  • 3 c. potatoes, diced
  • 1/2 c. quick barley


  1. Soak soy curls in 4 cups hot water. Heat 8 cups water and add seasonings, onion and aminos. Stir well.
  2. Add rest of ingredients, adding potatoes last. Simmer until the vegetables are tender.
