Beans in a Jar

  • Dry beans of choice
  • Vegetable broth
  • Chopped vegetables of choice

  1. Fill canning jars 1/4 full with dry beans. Add vegetables of choice and fill jar with broth.
  2. Place in deep baking dish or deck pan filled with water.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 3 1/2 hours, or until beans are tender. Store in freezer or in refrigerator. *

* The jars will seal when the lids are placed on while contents are still hot. This does not, however mean that they are safe for long-term storage on the shelf.
