Q. What Does the Bible Say About Pornography?

A.  First of all, victory over any addiction comes by surrendering yourself to God realizing that in your weakness that HE IS STRONG (Philippians 4:13).  Please allow me to share with you a few statements made on a website ( that provides help for pornography addicts.  “You DO NOT have to continue in slavery to pornography!  Don’t let shame control you and don’t believe that you are the only person with this issue.  Pornography is as addictive as alcohol, drugs and nicotine.  It causes actual changes to brain chemicals in the same way that cocaine does.  It will not stop by itself.  Just like addictive substances, you will need more and harder porn to keep the brain chemicals at the same level.”

THERE IS A WAY OF ESCAPE FOR YOU!  “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”  (2 Peter 1:4).  In this text you could equate lust to addiction.  Without a doubt, each of us needs the Holy Spirit in our lives to guide us and give us power.  You may benefit from reading the following texts from God’s Holy Word, the Bible:

Romans 12:1, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, John 5:5-8, John 15:5, John 5:14-15, Joshua 24:15, 1 John 5:14-15, 1 Corinthians 15:57, Matthew 7:7, 1 John 5:4, James 4:7.
