Recent studies have revealed that nearly three out of every five young Christians (59 percent), between the ages of 18 to 29, disconnect from church life during these pivotal years, either permanently or for an extended period of time. To address this challenge, and to encourage college-age students to make positive life decisions based on the principles of God’s Word, Amazing Facts, 3ABN, and Generation of Youth for Christ Southeast are joining together to present a live four-part series entitled Ultimate Purpose: Elevate Your Faith from Theory to Reality! The series presenter will be Amazing Facts president, Pastor Doug Batchelor, who will be speaking from the campus of Southern Adventist University from October 11–13, 2012.
“Young people are facing serious challenges in the world as we’ve never seen before,” Pastor Batchelor says. “I hope to show them that engaging their spiritual life not only offers hope, but it really is the key to every other important choice. Since 3ABN and Amazing Facts share a vision to ensure that God’s mission is reflected in the lives of our future church, it’s a thrill to partner with them in reminding our students that the focus of all they do should spring from a faith in God and His plan for their lives. That’s where it all starts.”
Also partnering in this crucial outreach is Generation of Youth for Christ Southeast, sponsored by Dr. Alan Parker, professor of missions and evangelism at Southern Adventist University. “Students often know about God but struggle to connect with Him personally,” he says. “But these same young people can provide the energy the church needs to reach the world in this generation. Ultimate Purpose will be powerful way to help them understand their true value and their need.”
Ultimate Purpose promises to be a fresh and dynamic series that will capture the hearts of collage-age youth. Don’t miss it—and pass on the news!
