It is said that we become what we behold, but have you ever thought about how we view God? We’d like to invite you to explore how this affects the way we live and our developing Christian character on our September Anchors of Truth series with Pastor Hiram Rester.
“If God’s character is to be revealed in His people, then it’s vital that we see Him for the loving God that He is,” he says. “From the desert of the Exodus, to the cross, to the Second Coming, we are called to look to Jesus and live!”
Pastor Rester is a family man. He and his wife Libby are blessed with three children and live in Springfield, Missouri where he pastors a growing congregation. Raised a Baptist Christian in south Mississippi, he became a Seventh-day Adventist during his college years through public evangelism and small group Bible study.
In addition to secular college, Hiram briefly attended Union College, Weimar College, and Mission College of Evangelism. From there he entered the pastoral ministry as a church planter, then served as a full-time evangelist for ten and a half years. The Resters were based in Berrien Springs, Michigan, most of the time and he worked on his masters degree at Andrews University between travels. He’s currently the senior pastor of the Springfield, Missouri, Seventh-day Adventist Church. In addition, Hiram is the speaker for the weekly Study Revelation TV program, and Affirming Creation on 3ABN Radio. However, he still enjoys presenting seminars and weekends across the country as his schedule allows, and we’re thrilled to have him with us!
