3ABN Russia Celebrates Twenty Years with Live Broadcast on International Channel

3ABN Russia will commemorate 20 years of ministry with a special weekend of programs, broadcast live from the Russian Evangelism Center in Nizhny Novgorod. The programs will also be tape-delayed and played on 3ABN for North American audiences.

“We’re calling this event, ’20 Years of God’s Faithfulness,'” says Julia Outkina, 3ABN Russia’s executive manager. “God impressed Danny Shelton and the 3ABN leaders about the need for 3ABN Russia for the salvation of souls. There are about 300 million Russian-speaking people living on earth, and we’re thrilled and honored to be in ministry for all these years and still be growing!”

3ABN founder Danny Shelton agrees. “We praise God for His faithfulness over the past 20 years,” he says. ” The 3ABN Russian ministry, under the direction of Julia Outkina, continues to grow and reach more souls in the Russian speaking areas of the world. For over 70 years the gospel was withheld from these precious people,” he continues, “However, now, through the power of God’s Spirit, the good news of Jesus Christ is being broadcast freely on television, radio and the Internet.”

First Live Broadcast on 3ABN’s International Channel

3ABN Russia’s 20th Anniversary celebration will be held at the Russian Evangelism Center on August 24 and 25, beginning Friday night and continuing Saturday morning. The programs will be broadcast live on 3ABN’s International television channel, and tape-delayed for broadcast to 3ABN’s North American audiences (see times below).

Weekend programs will not only feature reports on what God has accomplished through the ministry, but also special tributes to the efforts of Pastor John Carter, whose evangelistic series in 1992 spearheaded 3ABN’s work with the Russian people, and to the workers who labored tirelessly to build the facility under extreme circumstances. But undoubtedly the most rewarding feature will be the testimonies of those who attended the series and worked on the project and became Seventh-day Adventist Christians as a result!

“The Lord keeps giving the vision to the dedicated donors and staff, and He continues to provide the equipment and all our other needs,” Julia adds. “We’re so grateful to 3ABN and its vision of worldwide outreach, selflessly serving the Lord by taking advantage of every means to reach more people for Jesus Christ!”

Many thousands of 3ABN supporters will undoubtedly tune in to this celebration, and we’re so grateful to all who have contributed over the years to make our Russian ministry a reality!

I was watching 3ABN Russia 2012, Saturday afternoon. I am not sure but I thought I heard that they said that John Carter has died. Did I hear Right?

No Gary, our 3ABN Russia construction manager, John Kantor is the one who passed away. Pastor Carter is alive and well, and just returned from preaching to record numbers of people in Papua New Guinea. He will be our featured speaker at 3ABN’s Homecoming camp meeting, September 20–22, 2012.
