3ABN Posts "Unity in the Church," "Spiritual Formation," and Ted Wilson's Special Appeal on YouTube

Due to tremendous interest from our viewers, we’ve has posted two recent Night Light programs and a special address given by the Seventh-day Adventist General Conference president, Ted N. C. Wilson, in their entirety on the popular video website, YouTube.  Now anyone in the world with Internet access can watch these important programs.

3ABN Night Light: “Unity in the Church” featured an inspiring interview with Elder Ted N. C. Wilson, president of the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and Pastor Mark Finley, an internationally known evangelist who now works as Elder Wilson’s assistant for evangelism. The interview was conducted by 3ABN president Jim Gilley, 3ABN founder Danny Shelton, and The Hope Channel director Brad Thorp.

3ABN Night Light: “Spiritual Formation and Contemplative Prayer” featured a panel of guests who discussed these important topics and how they have infiltrated the church. 3ABN production manager C. A. Murray hosted the program, which featured the following guests: Dan Jackson, President of the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists; Mark Finley, Assistant to the General Conference President for Evangelism; Dr. Derek Morris, Associate Ministerial Secretary for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists; Dan Houghton, President of Hart Research; Frank Fournier, President of Adventist-laymen’s Services and Industries (ASI); and Harold Lance, President of ASI Missions, Inc.

A Special Appeal by General Conference President Ted N. C. Wilson This appeal was delivered on Saturday afternoon, August 11, 2012 at the Adventist-laymen’s Serivces and Industries (ASI) International Convention held in Cincinnati, Ohio. In it he spoke about NY13, a major urban evangelism effort in New York coming in 2013. He also spoke of revival and reformation and other topics, drawing from the story of Elijah the prophet and from this year’s ASI theme, “It’s Time to Be About Our Father’s Business.”

Dear brethren the saint of our God’s heavenly family, we’ve been praying secretly, sincerely and specifically for the unity and love and peace for our churches and for our leaders and members. Still we keep on! Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity, for there the Lord commanded the blessing and life forevermore. Amen! We pray that our God may bestow upon us blessing, vision and revealation in this last days. Amen! The peace and the love of God and the grace of Jesus Christ and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost be with us forever. Amen!

I appreciate very much these sessions and have been blessed by them. We thank God for the focus and determination of leaders to move the Lord’s work forward at this critical time in earth’s history. Just one observation: Because of the diverse composition of our church in terms of cultures and ethnicity, could we not draw on the experiences of some of our leaders from other nations and ethnic backgrounds? Comments meant with the best possible intent. God bless you all!

These programs are important to get out to others. Can these be purchased on DVDs? My dish was not working when these programs were aired, so I missed them. Thanks for considering this.

Yes Shelley, they can be ordered online at store.3abn.org, or by telephone at 618-627-4651 (Monday-Thursday 8am to 5pm Central Time UTC-5).

Thank you so much for rebroadcasting this. I had missed the two and was hoping you would make it so people who missed it could see it. God bless.

The 3ABN Night Light program regarding Spiritual Formation and Contemplative Prayer was informative and timely. These new age philosophies have infiltrated all Christian churches regardless of denomination. Thank you for shining a brief light on these deceptive practices, and I pray you will continue to sound the warnings with more depth in future programs. May God continue to bless the work of 3ABN!

God has truly inspired His people. The programmes are right on time. God bless you all as we contine to work and serve him. I intend to be a regular contributor to your programme. Satan is fighting me, and each time I’ve decided to contribute, something happens. Please pray for me. I want to overcome the obstacles. May God bless you all.

Dear friends, I am so happy to see our leaders addressing this very important topic. I live in South America and unfortunately this is affecting our church. Would this material be translated into Spanish? We would like to know if and when. Thank you for the work you are doing. God bless, Katia.

I watched the program about Spiritual Formaton and was disappointed. I knew what the men were discussing, but it did not seem that they ever made clear what they were talking about. They knew the material, but perhaps the audience did not. I think another program should be broadcast, but make it clear to the audience the terms they are using, and exactly what they mean.

I really was impressed by both of these panel discussions. I thank God for blessing our church through His chosen leaders. I appreciate Derek’s openness in sharing his mistake in following after his own heart’s search for the Holy Spirit outside God’s Word. I have a question though; has Derek or the church pulled his books (Radical Prayer?) that promotes spiritual formation? In my mind, this would solidify his intentions to not mislead the flock. Thanks for letting me ask and for sharing.

Evelyn Ward is spot on. Not until the second half of the Spiritual Formation discussion did C.A. briefly address the bones of the subject. Exactly what everybody I talked to thought. But thank you for airing the discussion anyway and we just made it our business to investigate what it was you were talking about.

Re: Unity in the Church: I thank God for the leadership of this Church under Elder Ted Wilson. I support this godly man and include him, Nancy, and his family and staff in prayers every day. I thank God for the unity displayed by this group coming together, Hope Channel, 3ABN, and other individuals. You are all in my prayers and I support your position and am thankful and proud to be a part of God’s final generation. I especially love the distribution of the precious book, “The Great Controversy.” God bless you as you continue to stand for biblical principles.

I missed Night Light when it aired. Here I am on vacation on Sabbath evening and I can listen! Thank you so very much, because like so many others who mentioned in their comments, I have no understanding of what Contemplative Prayer and Spiritual Formation is. God bless you and God bless the wonderful worldwide Seventh-day Adventist church. I thank God each day for the day those Adventist missionaries went to my homeland and did a tent meeting and my wonderful mother, who is still living, left the Anglican church and accepted the beautiful last day Adventist message. May God’s name be glorified in all of or lives!
