3ABN Board Member William Hulsey Passes Away

William Hulsey

We are deeply saddened by the passing of our dear friend and 3ABN board member, William J. Hulsey, who died suddenly at his home in Collegedale, Tennessee, on Tuesday, February 23, 2016. He was 90 years old, was married to Myrtle Hulsey for 69 years, and was the loving father of three children.

Bill owned Collegedale Casework, Inc. (formerly Collegedale Cabinets, Inc.), and enjoyment for him was real property residential and commercial development in Collegedale, Ooltewah, and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

He served the Lord in many capacities. Locally, he was the building chairman at the Collegedale, Ooltewah, McDonald Road, and Collegedale Spanish Seventh-day Adventist churches. He was also a long-standing board member at his alma mater, Southern Adventist University, and a founding board member of its building committee of 100.

Bill loved Three Angels Broadcasting Network, and served as a board member from 1986 until 2012. “I well remember the first time I met Bill Hulsey,” says 3ABN president and CEO, Danny Shelton. “He had a sense of humor and a winning smile, spoke with great wisdom, and never wavered in his commitment to Jesus Christ. For the next 26 years, 3ABN was blessed to receive the benefits of his years of business experience and spiritual insight. Bill will be greatly missed.”

A private graveside service was held on February 26, and a memorial service will be held at the Collegedale Seventh-day Adventist Church at 4829 College Drive East on March 6, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. Dr. Gordon Bietz, Southern Adventist University president will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, Bill’s family request that tax-deductible contributions be sent to 3ABN, PO Box 220, West Frankfort, IL 62896.

I was so sad to hear this. May the good Lord rest his soul in peace.
Even though I did not know him, it does not matter. Our brother was a child of God.
