3ABN is seeking a full-time website developer. The job includes developing web applications for 3abn.org, our other public websites, and internal web applications. Requirements for this position include:
A minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on web programming experience. The programming language we use is Adobe ColdFusion, but if a candidate has experience with ASP, ASP.NET, PHP, or a comparable programming language, and is willing to learn ColdFusion, we would be willing to consider them.
The ideal applicant would have experience developing a content management system (CMS). Equally important would be a working knowledge of e-commerce solutions, including shopping cart development, order processing, and the user/client account administration process.
Additional experience required would be database design and development. The applicant should be proficient with Microsoft SQL Server or equivalent, including the implementation of complex SQL statements and experience using and creating Stored Procedures.
There are many related skills that would be helpful for an applicant to have, including Flash and JavaScript. The applicant should be someone who can organize and prioritize his or her own work, collaborate with other departments, work efficiently without constant supervision, and write applications that mesh with third-party solutions. A vision for learning and using new communications technologies is important as well.
Preference will be shown to applicants who can relocate to southern Illinois and work on-site.
