Leadership is something we take very seriously. We believe 3ABN has leaders chosen by God to guide this ministry for His glory. 3ABN's success around the world, measured by countless testimonies of changed lives, speaks for itself. Our leadership has several layers. 3ABN's Board of Directors meets several times a year to review our progress and make long-term plans. Our Administration provides day-to-day guidance for our operations, while our department managers handle specific areas. We believe God's hand guides at each level. Leadership in Christian ministry requires vision, integrity, and a solid biblical foundation, and we believe our leaders reflect those ideals. The needs are immense, the opportunities endless. Please keep our leaders in your prayers.
Danny Shelton, President and CEO. In 1984 Danny was impressed to “build a television station that would reach the world with the undiluted three angels’ messages” of Revelation 14, and through his vision and hard work, Three Angels Broadcasting Network began broadcasting on satellite just two years later. Today 3ABN television and radio networks are broadcast worldwide on 8 satellites and hundreds of television and radio stations, as well as the Internet. Each day, as hearts are won to Jesus, we fulfill our purpose as the “Mending Broken People” network.
Mollie Steenson, Vice President and General Manager. Mollie has been with 3ABN since September 1995. She and her husband, Hal Steenson, figure prominently in early 3ABN history through their support and pledge of television equipment, which signaled to Danny Shelton that “where God guides, He provides”! She has faithfully served this ministry in many capacities, and her strength and dignity have been a singular testimony to her Christian life.
Brian Hamilton, CFO. Brian came to serve as 3ABN's CFO in 2008 after nearly 22 years of pastoral, administration, human resources, and treasury responsibilities in the Michigan, Wisconsin, and Southern California Conferences of Seventh-day Adventists. During this time he oversaw several major building projects such as a new cafeteria for Wisconsin Academy and a cafeteria/conference center for Wisconsin’s Camp Wakonda. Born in Walla Walla, Washington, he is a graduate of Andrews University in Michigan with a BS in business administration and later an MDiv from the Theological Seminary.
Other Administrative Staff
Moses Primo, Director of Broadcasting Operations and Engineering. Moses began his television career working for the Globo television network in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Arriving in the United States, he earned a masters degree in television management and worked at several Boston television stations, including the NBC and Fox affiliates, before coming to 3ABN in 1992. Under his direction 3ABN has grown from two local television stations to a worldwide network of hundreds of television and radio stations. He has also built and equipped satellite uplinks, mobile production trucks, automated Master Control and has converted 3ABN to an HD television production facility.
Roy G. Hunt, Jr., Director of Planned Giving and Trust Services. Roy has been with 3ABN since 2010. He began his career for the Lord within the Adventist Health System and served in the management of several Adventist hospitals across the United States. After 20 years of service in healthcare, Roy continued serving the Seventh-day Adventist church as manager of the Wisconsin and Texas Adventist Book Centers, and later as manager/treasurer of the Voice of Prophecy radio broadcast. Roy is married to Earlenne Laursen Hunt and they have three delightful daughters, Karen, Kimberly, and Karla, who have blessed them with nine grandchildren.
Julia Outkina, Executive Director for 3ABN Russia. Julia has been with 3ABN Russia since its inception in 1992. She holds a PhD in linguistics and taught English at the Nizhny Novgorod State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. However, after giving her heart to the Lord during Pastor John Carter’s evangelistic meetings in that city, she gladly accepted Danny Shelton’s invitation to enter God’s service. Under His guidance 3ABN Russia produces dozens of series in their television and radio studios, operates a multi-lingual website, a call center, and busy marketing and publishing departments. 3ABN Russia programs can be seen and heard across the former Soviet Union on six satellite channels, 100 commercial TV and radio stations, and their very own 24/7 Internet video and radio channels. Julia has a husband and a son, and praises the Lord for 3ABN’s ministry that allows the world’s Russian-speaking people to find salvation in Jesus Christ.
Jay Christian, General Manager for 3ABN Radio. Jay Christian was fascinated by radio when he was just six, and has held every radio position available during his successful career. However, his life changed in 1990 when he began discussing his New Age beliefs with Annette, a Christian coworker. Soon he was baptized, married her, and moved his new family to the Northwest where he worked for Walla Walla University’s radio station. Later he became general manager of Blue Mountain Television, and in 1999 his family accepted positions at 3ABN: Jay at 3ABN Radio, Annette in marketing, and her daughter Cari in post-production. Sadly, Annette passed away from breast cancer in 2008. Jay is now married to Svetlana, a 3ABN Russia employee who moved here and is now working in the creative design department and is our 3ABN photographer. Jay’s daughter Jodi, from a former marriage, lives with her husband in Cincinnati, Ohio.
John Dinzey, General Manager for 3ABN Latino. John Dinzey was born in Dominican Republic and is convinced that 3ABN is a ministry of divine origin. He believes that God called him to serve Him in ministry when he was eight years old. He began to serve the Lord at 3ABN on December 1, 1989 and has worked various departments including master control, engineering, production and pastoral ministries. In 2004 Danny asked him to be the general manager of 3ABN Latino, the position which he currently holds. It is his joy to work at 3ABN winning souls for the Lord along with his wife Idalia, his administrative assistant and producer of the 3ABN Hoy program. They feel that God has blessed them with two wonderful children, Samuel and Caleb, and they are grateful for their support in ministry.
Brenda Walsh is the general manager of 3ABN Kids Network. She has a heart for ministry and has been a faithful full time volunteer at 3ABN for over 15 years, producing and hosting the popular Kids Time and Kids Time Praise programs as well as hosting cooking programs and singing with her sisters. Together they have recorded four gospel CDs and have authored six vegan vegetarian cookbooks. Brenda is a best-selling author of many books, including her life story, Battered to Blessed, and her latest release, Miss Brenda's Bedtime Stories. She is a dynamic speaker, traveling around the world speaking at camp meetings, Women's Retreats, churches, and wherever God leads her.
Yvonne Lewis, General Manager for Dare to Dream Network. Dr. Yvonne Lewis has enjoyed successful careers as a musician, doctor, author, lecturer, and television host before coming to 3ABN, and has been pleased to use all her expertise to launch and manage our newest venture: The 3ABN Dare to Dream Network. As a studio vocalist she worked with the industry’s finest, became a very successful “jingle” commercial singer, and recorded her first solo project. She later added to her masters degree in social work by earning a Doctor of Naturopathy degree and specializing in many other areas of alternative medicine before retiring from medicine and coming to 3ABN. Dr. Lewis is the proud mother of two sons, Marc and Jason, and gives all praise to God for His favor and mercy in her life.
John Malkiewycz, General Manager for 3ABN Australia. The youngest of three sons, John was born in Collie, Western Australia, to Ukrainian parents who had immigrated as misplaced persons after the Second World War. Although he wasn’t brought up in a religious home, he became interested in the Bible through discussions with his work mates, and became a Seventh-day Adventist when he was 21. For many years he worked in local and state government departments, the mining industry, and for himself. John and his wife Rosemary first heard about 3ABN while working in Nepal as missionaries, and when they moved to Bangkok Adventist Hospital in Thailand, they were able to watch 3ABN in their hospital apartment. Returning home, they began installing satellite equipment in homes all over Australia, and at the request of 3ABN’s board of directors, they formed 3ABN Australia, Inc. in 2003. As a design draftsman, John drew the plans for 3ABN Australia’s Production Centre in Morisset, New South Wales, and also worked as its project manager until it officially opened on April 7, 2013. John now oversees the conception and production of new programs for 3ABN Australia’s television and radio programs that air across four continents on 3ABN International.
