Justification / Sanctification
Justification / Sanctification

How do we receive the righteousness of God?
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:23-24.

What is God’s part in our justification?

“That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:7.

What did Christ’s sacrifice win for us?
“Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.” Romans 5:9.

What do we need to be just before God?
“Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.” Romans 3:28.

What is the only way a sinner can be made righteous?
“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Galatians 2:16.

What example helps us understand the righteousness given to us?
“And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.” Genesis 15:5-6.

What role does Bible reading play in our sanctification?
“Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.” John 17:17.

After we are saved by grace, what does God want us to do for Him?
“For this is the will of God, even your sanctification, that ye should abstain from fornication: That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour; Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: That no man go beyond and defraud his brother in any matter: because that the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also have forewarned you and testified.” 1 Thessalonians 4:3-6.

What words express what should become the standard of a Christian’s experience?
“And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 5:23.

If we are Christ’s, what does He give to us freely?
“But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption.” 1 Corinthians 1:30.

Do only certain people have access to the free gift of sanctification?
“By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Hebrews 10:10.

As I do my part to do good and turn from evil, will God help me?

“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:12-13.
